As a supervisor, learners will need to be able to manage various operational areas, a large variety of resources, and the people involved in the operation all simultaneously.
This is a high-pressure and important role in Kitchen Operations and can lead to situations of stress or anxiety for especially new Supervisors. This module is designed to provide learners with the requisite skills to make sound supervisory decisions, develop techniques to improve communicate with colleagues, and to manage and organise time and resources.
The module also provides insights into managing staff, dealing with organisational conflict, and managing and implementing change to improve productivity. Learners will also be introduced to fundamental total quality control measures and receive insight into basic leadership theory and practice.
